"A gentle, well-supported Pilates class focused on comfort, confidence, and recovery."
This class is taught by a physiotherapist and grounded in contemporary understanding of movement, breathing, and recovery.
Description:
Restore & Support Pilates is a calm, physiotherapy-informed class designed for people who want a slower, more supported approach to movement.
This class prioritises ease, good breathing, and controlled, low-load exercises to help reduce stiffness, improve mobility, and rebuild confidence after injury, surgery, or periods of reduced activity. Movements are carefully adapted and supported, with options to rest and modify throughout.
There is no rushing, no pressure to keep up, and no expectation of fitness. The focus is on moving well, breathing comfortably, and leaving feeling better than when you arrived.
This class is suitable if you:
Are retired or returning to exercise later in life
Are recovering from injury or surgery
Feel overwhelmed by fast-paced or trendy Pilates classes
Want a calm, steady class led by a physiotherapist
Expect to leave feeling:
More mobile, less tense, steadier, and comfortably worked — not exhausted.
WHAT MAKES THIS CLASS DIFFERENT
Slower pacing with fewer, more intentional exercises
Strong focus on breathing and movement coordination
Low-threat loading to reduce guarding and over-tension
Emphasis on recovery, not performance
Suitable for a wide range of bodies and abilities
This is still Pilates — just taught with a stronger focus on how your nervous system responds to movement.
Why does this class feel different?
Slower, breath-coordinated movement helps shift the body out of a constant “high alert” state and into a mode that supports recovery, digestion, and efficient movement. This allows strength and control to develop without unnecessary tension.
WHAT THIS CLASS IS NOT
Not a workout designed to exhaust you
Not fast-paced or high-intensity
Not passive or vague — movements are specific and purposeful
